The Craft Hotel Ubud

Object No. IRO-001
Riveted Polychrome Iron Fish
Physical Description:

A sculptural aquatic form crafted from hand-cut iron plates, mounted securely on dual slender rods atop a minimalist rectangular base. The silhouette is defined by a rhythmic line of exposed rivets along the central and fin seams, emphasizing a robust, industrial construction. The surface is treated with a vibrant, weathered gradient that transitions from a chalky white underbelly to cerulean blue and sun-kissed ochre across the dorsal area, evoking the iridescent shimmer of tropical Iwak (fish) species found in the surrounding archipelago. This multi-tonal patina is intentionally distressed to reveal darker metallic undertones, blending maritime organic forms with the traditional strength and character of Balinese Pandai Besi metalwork.
