A stout, cylindrical terracotta vessel with a rounded base and a broad, high shoulder. The piece features a thick, upright neck integrated with a small, circular loop handle on the side, reminiscent of traditional Balinese kendi or water storage silhouettes. The surface is treated with a rich, dark umber wash that has been burnished to a soft matte sheen. Fine, vertical striations are visible across the body, suggesting a hand-wrought finishing process. Strategic “weathering” marks and darker charcoal-toned patches are distributed across the mid-section to evoke the appearance of ancient, earth-cured pottery.
